Well the Jimny has now run up 15,000 miles on the odometer and there's nothing really significant to moan about. Suzuki certainly seem to have assembled this vehicle from well tested components and I'd describe the build quality as excellent. Surprisingly the Kinetic Yellow doesn't seem to show the road grime as badly as I thought it would in winter conditions. After a couple of weeks without a wash and driving in foul conditions - it still looks rather luminous driving down the road. No one could reasonably claim "Sorry mate I didn't see you coming"!

Its a really solid little unit is the jimny. Yesterday i watched a japanese guy flip his jb64 on a snowy road. When it hit the deck sideways and at good speed the whole car just made a reasuring 'thud". No windows shattered nothing went pop it just reasuringly slammed to the ground and slid, almost like someone threw a solid steel cube.
Tow truck flipped it back onto its feet, the only damage was a broken wing mirror, slight damage to the rear wheel arch and a dinner plate sized dent undrr the mirror. It was insane!!
That showed me right there, that this car is a solid little box. Oh and everything remained on, lights, dash, engine.
11.15 min mark for the flip
Cant remember where i seen the sound versiin now.

Quite the muppet for travelling at that speed in those conditions
...but at least he wasn't hurt apart from a dented pride and dented car.

Something along the lines of expectations of the car exceeding the talent of the driver. Ooops.

Surprised his drivers window didn't break when he stood on it. Idiot driving though!
