Have now driven past the 6000 mile mark on the odometer. It may be a 2019 registered Jimny and that new car smell has faded but there's no sign of 'Death Wobble' or any other shakes, rattles or parts falling off. The Jimny still puts a smile on my face, I no longer worry about speed cameras and it continues to attract positive comments from strangers. Fuel consumption sitting at 45mpg.

I stopped worrying about speed cameras, and got a fine doing 135kph in a 120kph zone.
Decided that as the JImny has past the 6000 mile mark I should undertake the recommended tyre rotation. After a few seconds thinking about which of the two recommended options to follow - I selected the '5-wheel' rotation. Trolley jack and torque wrench looked out, manual checked and wheels rotated pronto. Tyre wear looked very reasonable and even. After a few days driving I can't say that I notice any difference - so that's a good sign regarding alignment, wheel balancing and resetting pressures. Cannot believe that the average owner will bother with this process - along with regular oil checks and topping up the windscreen washer bottle.
Bizarre back to back travelling experiences. Used the Jimny for a 100 mile trip then swapped over to a 1200cc motorcycle for a trip across Northumberland. Night and day in terms of acceleration, braking and cornering abilities on tarmac. Then went up the hill today to see some cattle and the Jimny proved yet again what an excellent design of specialist vehicle it is. My brain has had to quickly recalibrate several times over 48 hours - the Jimny is totally useless at filtering through static traffic on the Motorway. Note to self - when you see a gap in the traffic remember which vehicle you are in control of.

Hahahaaa, i hear ya! If you are the shy type, or just like to stay below the social radar, consider buying a peugeot ( no offense).
It's holiday time and the Jimny's odometer continues to spin ever upwards. It has now passed the 7,000 mile mark and continues to deliver smiles and goodwill on our travels. Pleased to report that the Defects Log is still empty - Zero components have failed, fallen off, rattled or are causing real grief. Watching eye still on the rubber mats which seem to be wearing heavily - other than that we are at peace.
