Whatever next, we'll all be having an argument about which boots have got the best tread pattern. Then maybe we'll start debating whether or not they're road legal!

After a year of ignoring this thread I decided to bore you with a very brief uodate. The Jimny has done far fewer miles this year than I planned but it continues to put a smile on my face. it just delivers zero hassle, zero breakdowns and positive feedback from other road users. Just wishing I could have ordered a new one to replace it in January 2022.

If you are really happy with it, why not just keep it?

I might just end up doing that

As we live in strange times my G4 Jimny approaches another milestone in its life - a requirement to have passed an MOT test. Normally it would have been exchanged for a new one at three years old but as we all know - currently not a realistic option.

I've done half the mileage originally planned so don't think that it should be failing an MOT at 24k miles or be clapped out. Thought a fresh set of wiper blades and a dealer service wouldn't go amiss - plus the factory warranty still has a few weeks to go should any bigger issues appear.

One issue that I have noted of late is that fuel consumption seems worse since I started using that new green fuel. Not convinced that we are really saving the planet, being more efficient or effective with our use of resources
