That's what worries me about autonomous driving cars. My range rover sport has the radar controlled adaptive cruise control (which is not so useful on the motorway - you just end up doing the speed of the slowest vehicle) but is great for single carriageways. Except that if you join then end of the queue of traffic and proceed at the same speed as they do and you're going relatively slowly compared to the target speed you've set on the cruise control (45mph in a 60 say) if you go round a sharpish bend the radar thinks the road ahead is now clear and tries to speed up to 60 despite that you're going round a sharp bend!

Jimny apparently gets dual camera system, no radar.
Can't claim to understand it but more info here.

The dash panel on mine glows angry red 3 or 4 times a journey, with the picture of a car crash. Luckily it hasn't put the brakes on......yet.

It seems to detect parked cars on a right hand curve as parked cars that I am aiming at.

I'd disable it but I suppose it might be handy if it can put the brakes on when I'm looking at the speedo rather than where I'm going. :)

At least the tyres have re-inflated themselves again to 25 in the warmer weather B)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I found this short video of the crash avoidance system in operation.

Mine has given me a few dash flashes (usually when parking!) but has not hit the brakes yet.

Explains why we can't get green ones- they have crashed them all
