sorry about all the questions but being new to 4x4s and on a budget and having basic mechanics skills which of the 3 above (2" body lift/Spring lift/spring spaces) is the cheapest and the quickest to fit without replacing the brake lines. Also i would like to keep my five spoke alloy wheels but change the tyres to a more offroad type tyre any ideas on this please (but still use them on the road for commuting) and to fit wheel spaces for the wider look without cutting the archers.
probably something like an all terrain would suit, maybe some used bf goodrich al terrains for tyres, 215/75/15 is what ive just fitted to some wider lower offset rims and they dont catch.
So that would be similar to your standard alloys with spacers on.
WHAT YOU DECIDE TO DO DEPENDS A GREAT DEAL ON WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING WITH YOUR JIMNY. YOU CAN USE DOBINSONS SHOCKS AND SPRINGS FOR A 2 INCH LIFT AND THEY VASTLY IMPROVE YOUR RIDE NOT TO MENTION THE 2 INCH LIFT. YOU NEED NOT CHANGE BRAKE LINES ON THIS LIFT. YOU CAN USE 215/75/15'S WITH THIS LIFT ALSO. THIS IS PRETTY MILD COMPARED TO SOME BUT IT IS A GOOD ALL AROUND COMBINATION. AN EXCELLENT COMPLIMENT TO THIS COMBO WOULD BE AN ARB WINCH BUMPER W/WINCH. THERE ARE TONS OF POSSIBILITIES AVAILABLE TO YOU. I JUST KNOW THIS ONE WORKS GREAT. HOPE IT HELPS.
