Since you have all those tools. I come to think of one thing. We need a good quality HD winch bumper. As it is now, there is only the flimsy bumper fra KAP and other similar looking ones and then the ARB bumper.

Would be great to see something in between at around £350-450. Perhaps like the first ORA HD bumper. Excellent bumper and not nearly as heavy as the ARB one.

Thanks Tom ;)

Ahhh, like Bits4Vits, I only do small "Bits", bits I can store in my shop's storeroom and ship easily (and quickly) through my Post Office...

I'm pretty sure Russ over at JimnyBits will have a winch bumper in development though ;)

Yes, I liked the first generation ORA winch bumper... B)

Good point Dave :)

Sounds interesting with the Jimnybits bumper :)

I have one other idea.. Don't know if it's any good :)
But what about shock conversion for the front upper mount, making it possible to use eye-eye shocks.

Do you mean like this Tom?

So that you could use a shock with a ring mount on the top, instead of a pin mount that the front of a Jimny is designed for?

It would be fiddly to mount up there in the shock mount, but I could do similar with a welded mounting bolt?...

Exactly :)
I've seen them in the US. But never available in Europe.

Thinking these could serve a couple of purposes. Both to extend the range of shocks available for the Jimny. But also for longer trips offroading and overlanding. You only need to bring spare shocks that fit both front and rear.

Great entrepreneurial spirit Dave, you deserve every success - good luck to you!

Mark

Ps wiring bridge for the engine bay perhaps? Might be a little bit 'niche' but thought I'd throw it in there ;)

Thanks Mark ;)

I did think about it, but everyone's switch and wander-lead plugs for winches, etc, needs would vary?...

Could leave the customer to drill their own holes - would keep prices down  ;)
