Hi long time since I have posted but in the summer I traveled round Europe with my Jimny and Caravan + girlfriend :)

We traveled through France, Belgium,Switzerland and Italy. The Jimny performed faltlasly the whole trip even with caravan steep mountain roads and 43 degree heat in Italy!!

We travelled off road on some old military roads in Italy which was excellent.

Here are some pics below just shows you don't need a massive 4x4.

Looks awesome! What views!

I'm lining this sort of thing up for my retirement! I'm only 38 but looking forward to it!

Adventure of a lifetime, Adam...and the little Eriba is perfect for that sort of trip, from memory it only weighs 600kgs.
The memories you bring back will last you both for ever..I'm really jealous

Any idea what height you were at when taking the pics, and was there any difficulty with the Jimny's breathing?

Sam.....I know I was banging on earlier in the year about my teardrop, took it to Cornwall for 2 weeks and it was ace...but...not nearly as versatile or convenient as Adam's Eriba, which has many advantages over mine.
Don't want to hi-jack Adam's thread, but yes, we're planning a similar venture for 2017

Gus ;)

Adam...forgot to ask...how long did your little adventure take to complete? ;)

Hi cheers guys was quite a trip :)

The caravan only weighs 550kg empty so pretty light. The mountain pass was called Sustenpass and is 2,200m Google it. Usually you wouldn't take a caravan over it especially behind a Jimny but a tunnel was closed and it was a long way round, had to use 1St low range at the top lol.

Switzerland was by far my favorite place but was so expensive we didn't stay long.

The one place we didn't visit was Col de Sommeiller the highest drivable point in the alps as we run out of time :(
(maybe next year)

The trip took just over 2 weeks to complete.

Looks great B)

I bought a Puck this year, but I haven't tested it on the Jimny yet as the clutch is well past its best
I have fitted the 2wd low switch ready though :)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Hi Gurevich Its a petrol.

How to, we think it should work on a push-button transfer, but no-one has tried it AFAIK

I put my switch under the handbrake

I only bought the Puck right at the end of the Summer, and it never stopped raining, so I've not used it :( it is under a little cover now, and half the upholstery is in the spare room. It still has the original yellow retro 60s style fabric B) (It looks just like yours, and is a 1998)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)
