what oil goes in suzuki jimny was created by mark 88
hi all would you be able to tell me what oil is supposed to go in my Suzuki jimny i have read the manual and it says it highly recommends using 10w30 SAE specification but my girlfriend has asked at the garage she works at and the parts department says its coming up on their system as motorbike oil.
does anyone know what the equivalent of 10w30 engine oil would be?
many thanks

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

10w30 is difficult to get as car oil in the UK. In Other Countries it is more common.
So those of us with old jimnys use 10w40, and the VVTs use 5w30. If you look in your handbook there is a bar-chart relating oil viscosity to outside temperature, and 10w40 is fine for mainland UK.

All you need should be in here
Personally, I put 5W 30 in my engine.
