Mine did go in yesterday 'just' so I also bought a Witter towbar mounted bike rack.

It's a squeeze but I was able to get a 26" and a 650b along with the mutt in. Had to take both wheels out and put the front seats fwd a bit.
Looking at making a carrier that works oof a roof rack but hangs the bikes off the door.

Wow. How?! I had to put my Commencal meta V4 crossways with wheels off. I'll take a pic of my new rack later
