I see the appeal in roof tents and even caravans, but regular tents have always worked best for me. Give me a decent tent or bivi, roll-mat and sleeping bag and I can get a good nights sleep anywhere. Stick it in the car, strap it on my bike, stuff it in my rucksack and I'm away!

That old roof tent looks neat enough but it's smaller than most tents and, judging by the old canvas, probably slightly less waterproof.

Have you found that the roof rack has halved your mpg?
on my previous jimny mine made the mpg terrible.

have you fitted any spring spacers to make the tyres fit?

Has anyone fitted the superpro 25mm spring spacers without rear shock spacers? I need to level my Jimny up as there's now 15mm difference front to back so was thinking of putting 25mm on the rear and 15mm on the front.

i used 25mm spacers in the front of mine to level it out, the bull bar & 1.6 made the front springs sag by a full inch.

Cheers think I'm just going to order them and see how it goes :)

Was considering a trailmaster 2" lift but it's expensive and don't want to change the handling too much at the moment as I'm doing quite a few miles.
