CB Aerial coax cable routing

Decided to give the old CB a chance again, have the idiots all left and gone onto computer socializing networks !

I am mounting the antenna on a spare wheel bracket and want to ensure a no leaks, no trapping of coax and tidy routing of the cable.

Somebody used to market a ribbon type coax, you simply lifted the door seal, passed the ribbon through and pushed the door seal back. The alternative seems to be into the door and if there is room through the door rubber grommet and on into the cabin area.

Ideas (even a photo) would be much appreciated.

That's exactly the route I took from my spare wheel mount.
Once in the cabin, I just fed it up into the roof lining and forwards to the rig.
The rig is mounted just in front of the interior light, power taken from the interior light.
The SWR reading is as near perfect as you can get it. 1:1

Here is what i did,
My cable goes from the spare wheel, down the door and then glued at the botom inside of the door, all the way down to the hinges, where is is then hidded behind the rear bumper mouldings, all the way back to the middle of the rear of the gar, where it enters the cabin of the car at the place where the stock jack is mounted, through a plastic round rubber, into the cabin between the seats to the radio, which sits behind the front seats,












My radio sits on the tunnel behind the rear seats,

Just hope its worth the effort when I've done. Living 750ft above sea level (even with squelch right turn up) you would be amazed the rubbish you pick up.
