Well.. My bilstein shocks have boots. Same as Trail Master and others as well. Now after one years use they still looks like new.

The Rough Country shocks I had before without boots looked shit after 6 months and with corrosion spots on the piston shaft.

The trick to avoid condensation build up is to have vent holes in the boot. Which my Bilsteins have from factory.. and my guess is that Trail Master shocks have them as well.

Don't forget that pro comps are made to a budget and consequently need looking after if they are to last.

Anyway back on track.

Not the post man but an antique shed earlier this afternoon I stumbled upon a mitutoyo vernier caliper with fine adjust, pristine condition and 32 quid cheaper than amazon. WINNING! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Not so much what the postman brought, instead what the "Postman sent" - luck recipient in North Devon!

ready to fit, guessing the rubbers nip down a bit as not much thread showing to secure the nuts, not fitting it till next week as will be up on ramps getting a new cat fitted.

Yeah they are a bit tricky to fit on that side you really need to give it a good push and turn to get the bolt started might be worth while soaking the rubbers in some hot water to sofen them up first
