Finally got my JDM Grille yesterday, had to go to the Parcelforce depot and pay a £25 customs charge

Thoughts?

After that I decided to give her a clean and put my spare wheel and carrier back on (after about a year off for "weight reduction")

Fixed the non-working reverse lights, turns out the connector was suffering from an air gap issue!
Then swapped original bulbs for a nice shiny set of LEDs, looking much better now, just need to swap all the others now.
Finally took a delivery from the suspension fairy........

Nice parcel from Jimnybits, just waiting for the snorkel fairy to arrive (sadly the 2 parcels got split up somehow and it's currently stuck in Stoke! ) then time to get busy!!!

Today I put some proper fuel in the Jim. Normally get around 160 miles to the point of refill. My local BP was closed the other week so filled up at Morrisons. Only got 120 miles from that stuff driving the same commute. :( Now full of BP again. :)

A hundred and sixty miles from a tank, commuting? Dear Lord, I thought Ermintrude was bad at 280 a tank commuting.

Lols! you should try mine... 180 miles on BP ultimate at best. If I go on the motorways and try and keep up to 70, that will be 120 miles to a tank or less!. When I first got it (bog standard VVT apart from 215 BFG AT's) I could get 240m to a tank on a decent run at best.

You must be a secret MPG god to get up towards 300 miles on a tank! Suppose it depends on your route and driving style a fair bit. Mine makes a nice noise from the snorkel on hard acceleration, so I suspect thats a major contributor to poor MPG!

No secret just a well looked after, mechanically standard vvt on decent road pattern tyres. Don't worry too much if i keep it on the cam or stick a trailer on i can get the miles per tank down to something you would be more familiar with!

My commute is all in town traffic and add to that Hastings is hilly. :( The 160 figure is from full to 1/4 tank so not so bad. :)

My plastic nuts arrived so I have tidied the roof threads up and hopefully being plastic they should minimise the risk of the threads corroding. I also tightened the dash screws. Again. Beginning to think that loctite is necessary for those, because the rattle sends me loopy. And finally i offset the grill badge to the passenger side following 1066boy s excellent example just in reverse. I am really pleased with the exterior changes because they are so subtle that if you don't know what you are looking at you can't see any difference. Once the sun is up i will get a picture.
