I agree its very quiet on the cb but still great for convoy work or off road with your mates. I too use a 5' one for road use and a mini-springer for off road.

I swapped out my 3 yo LED Spotlights for some that give me better night vision over a wider area close at hand. Handy for bush driving at night, especially when spotting various animals up trees as well as on the ground. The new LED's worked exactly as planned and predicted last night and I am very happy with them. There has been a slight decreace in forward vision, from 800 metres to about 650 metres, but all around me is lit up like a christmas tree, with the animals eyes the reflective decorations.
Old lights
New lights
Will try and get a night photo if I can work out how to stop my phone from flashing.

Fitted new steering wheel cover
Used handle bar tape to gain thickness
Then the time consuming sewing
4 hours later
Feels nice
I may do it all again over the top with leather
