Today I finally got round to making a battery tray for my Aux battery.

Worked nicely I think!

Battery is an Optima D34. Amazing battery. Can be used as starting AND deep cycle.

My standard battery has ~350 cranking amps, the D34 has nearly 1000.

I'll be setting it up such that I'll start the car with the smaller, standard battery, and have my fridge and winch run of the D34.

RE the washer bottle, I'ts further away from the extractors than the radiator overflow, but I will be being mindful of it and checking it regularly.

750 cca ;)

But why keep the tiny standard battery when you have this great Optima? It can easily do both things you want.

When standard battery dies, I'm replacing with a deep cycle, and will then use optima as starting as well as deep cycle, and have a second deep cycle.
