think I'll be fitting those speakers,

I might have a look see at doing that - I did not think of fitting them to there myself - I did not think outside the box!
I may have a plan for rear speakers in a different position though!
Watch this space eh!

Halford, just so you know, if you went any bigger than 5.25", you'd risk having them interfere with your foot & pedals. I've seen some people go 6", but because they're a deeper speaker, they poke out more and can get in the way.
RE the air horn. A mate gave it to me told me to try it out. I did. It's ok. My only issue with it is that I realized after I installed it that I blocked my access to the head lights. SO that'll be fin when I need to change a bulb.

After sitting under my bench for well over two years, nearer three, I dragged Rocky 147 out onto the bench, gave him a scrub and a coat of Rustolium satin black (more like gloss).
After I'd started, It struck me that I never take pictures so, out with the Desire and clickety click!
I know some won't like the result but then again, until I turn Jim over in a ditch, :woohoo: presuming I ever get him finished, only me, a MOTer, nobody will see it.
So here you go.....
More or less, BEFORE....
After....

It looks alright to me but I wouldn't have painted the flange as it might affect its ability to drive, you'll end up driving the prop with the bolts.
