Today I helped a m8 fit an adaptor to take an aux/memory card/USB stick to his clarion stereo on his 2012 jimny. He was fed up with not being able to connect his iPod to his stereo. Unfortunately, whilst removing the silver dashboard around the stereo, heating controls, etc, we managed to lose a yellow trim clip.

Does anybody know where to get them from, we have managed to put it back together and it all seems to fit.

His iPod works through the clarion stereo using volume control, not tried memory card and USB stick, aux fairly simple to use.

Costs £72 compared to iPod cable from Suzuki @ £150 + vat + fitting

Took about an hour to do,

Cheers Steve

Do you have any part numbers etc for what you used? also once you get the stereo out is it just plug and play?

Hi,

It's called an "INTERFACE ADAPTATEUR USB MP3 IPOD IPHONE SUZUKI JIMNY"

I bought from a French company called HIGHTECH PRIVEE ( www.hightech-privee.com )

They're on Eb## , object no : 110731862947,

Depending on which year your jimny is and which stereo you have, will depend which ADAPTATEUR you need.

My m8 has a 2012 model and has a clarion stereo, so I had to send the company a message saying year & model , his clarion has a 'CNET ' socket at the back, which I mentioned to them and they sent me the right one.

There's a guide on the Internet on how to take your silver dashboard off to gain access to your stereo, it's straight forward didn't even disconnect power lead to back of stereo.

Just route the cable from stereo to supplied box into the glovebox, I've also fitted one my jimny 2012 as well,

Regards Steve
