Know what your are saying guys but you probaly have noticed there are no G series engines about they seem to be virtually extinct.
I can mod 8 valve Vitara engines to take a jimny head oil pick up and sump gives you a G16A that will work properly in a Jimny with no faffing about changing cams and all that rubbish that goes with fitting a Vit 16v just 1 problem no baleno injectors around so will run like crap :(
As for a M series gearbox you are talking an extra £200 diesel engine another £200 min then you need the kit to bolt it all up as far as i can see will just be a diffrent set of bolt holes on the gearbox side of the adaptor plate so no big deal as far a im concerned either way.
Strenght wise not sure there is anything better or worse with them M or G boxes sure someone will inform me diffrent reckon diesel will be fine with either yeah if you tweak the potential out of the Isuzu motor you can be looking at 120hp and a shite load of torque and yes i reckon that things will start to break

Reassembled the rear brakes with new shoes and cylinders after a good degrease.

What a sh1tty fiddly job putting the big spring back on!

Just new brakes lines next weekend then its back on the road.

Nice and shiny now!

Blimey GA. You could eat your dinner off that assembly. Very clean and tidy. :)

Thanks.

If I had the time I would have ground the rust off the rim of the back plate and painted but thats a job for another day. Same for the drums. Got my eye on some flo-orange brake paint.

Thinking of an orange and black theme for the J (eventually).
