hey people, :)

im wanting a mean big tyre something that looks like a 255 wide or something

what is a wide rim i can buy for my jimny? like do you get 8 inch 9 inch?
something to suit a 255 wide tyre if i can run one of them? i have a 2" lift what would be the biggest i could go before rubbing when turning etc.?

To be honest the Jimny doesn't lend it's self to the wide boy look with that wide tyre on it and doesn't have the width for them width wise in the arches.

Wheel offset would have to push the wheel right out from the hub to prevent tyres touching the inner arch and spring mounts. This puts them so far outside the arches you would need KAP fibre glass arches on the front but would be stuck on the rear.

They wouldn't be much cop off road as the car would float on mud, never cutting through to the hard ground underneath. Wheel bearing life will be significantly reduced too.

So essentially, stick with the usual tried and tested sizes.235/75/15 perhaps on a modular rim, like those linked to on a recent post about wheels. I'm on my phone so not able to link it for you.

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationi want my jimny to look like this, it has something similar to 265/75/r16's

i think hes running 31s on a 2 inch spring lift and a 2 inch body lift hth :)

mine are 215 80 15 s n they look quite big on a 2 inch lift and trimmed the arches and bumpers, 235 s would look good though but recon need a 3 inch lift without chopping the arches even more .
with the same tyres on that is anyway,
