Got the port, got the scanner. BUT it is one of the, 'Not gonna work in a million years' type. :laugh:

Ive borrowed a friends scan gauage jobby. Brilliant bit of kit for offroading told me what volts i was running when winching and also the water temp the engine was running at !! So so cool aswell

2001 Red Tin Top,

Will depend what scanner and what part of 2001 it was built , some have the port but are only obd1 connected

Cheers Martin, will have to have a little looksee at that. ;)

I thought it was my reader that was at fault at first but after plugging it in various other vehicles etc, it works perfectly.

Must be one of those borderline Zooks? :laugh:

I looked under my dashboard briefly this morning, and couldn't find the OBD2 port. :(

Could it be that the factory in Japan excludes this port (as it does with the ABS and airbags) when it assembles CBU units for the Philippines?
