Drove it home but... was created by ZookFastback
Busted rear axle housing this morning playing off-road. Managed to drive it home very slowly and the housing completely parted in driveway!

Will search for complete assembly next week. This has been a very reliable car and it has taken a lot of stick off-road so I can't really complain. Will look at strengthening the new housing before mounting it on my Jimny. Is there a kit available or will I have to "wing it"?

The weld is totally the reason it's broken... A would have certainly prevented this from happening.

Still very impressive none the less.

As it's the rear axle a truss will fit fine as there is no sump clearance to worry about.... also as stated on the other thread it could be fitted to the bottom of the casing if you would prefer and aren't worried about ground clearance.

Straight up, as I say we're so impressed with your breakage drop Hen an email to offroadarmoury@gmail.com and we'll strap a truss to a carrier pigeon and ping it your way.... ;)
