Didnt realise any jimnys were fitted with carbs have you anymore details or maybe a picture of the offending item ?

there isnt any of the vehicles we know as jimnys with carbs. the SJ40V is an early model sj410 apparently, 1980-81. I just looked it up :)

parts however I expect will be next to impossible to find. I would suggest replacing the whole carb with maybe an SU HIF38.

Yep your right the Su hif38 is a direct bolt on to the existing manifold.

yup..it is also call sj410. She's old, but she's tough and can hold :P

Before I had my Jimny I had an sj410. It was an amazing vehicle. I miss it :'(

I tried the SU option on my SJ 410 wasnt impressed at all however beford rascal i found in the scrappy had a straight swap carb assuming another suzuki unit but if my memeory serves me right had double accelerator pump still got it on the car now and with the Janspeed 4 branch manifold and exsaust and still goes like a little rocket outrun any 413.
Jap 410 engine awsome unit and best of all no silly hollow crank like on the rest of the suzuki range wth were they thinking :S
