not quite a box on a jimny
but we use one on our cherokee and use a wheel step to get things in and out of it

we usually rent a cottage so take the roof box off when we get there and store it in the cottage until the end of the holiday

dogz - thats a great help thanks

This:
www.tesco.com/direct/thule-pacific-100-3...X-868CFY8PfAodsjEGXQ

looks perfect, 370l should be more than enough and the price is fine too

wont be more than 30kg either

basically all the camping gear will go in the jimny with one seat down then i can put clothes / shoes / blankets / pillows whatever etc in the roof box, all the stuff that isnt heavy but takes up space

it all fit in the wifes 206 last weekend but we didnt like taking that to our normal sites so had to go to a more easily accessible site

we've got the thule polar roof box, and looked at the pacific one at the same time as the shop had both and there isn't much difference for the extra money of the pacific so bought the polar
used it for about 5 years now on a variety of cars from an A4 to a Cherokee
no leaks great quality and easy to fit
