The pitman drop arm is for suspension lifts, I will get one from jimnybits soon, but its not desperate.
I will replace my rod ends at the same time of fitting a pitman drop arm.
I've the jimnybits bodylift and its perfect, the transferbox lever will need bending slightly.
I think I could do a bodylift in 1h30 max.

Listening to what youve said, do you think it might be prudent to get a drop arm anyway, bearing in mind im doing a 4.5'' spring lift too. (though it looks as though they have been out of stock forever)

Once you have fitted a bodylift its easy the second time as you know exactly every nut and bolt.
I have also done the same with a pajero lwb and to be honest that is easier. And I use my cordless impact gun, the best tool in my van!

Here is my tips and i'm sure others can add to this.
Remove steering shaft bolt so shaft can slide.
Disconnect brake splitter from chassis rail (drivers side)
Extend (adjust) brake pipes at the front where they come through inner wing
Disconnect fuel filler pipes
Remove headlights
Undo bolts under headlights
Then 6 more that bolt chassis to body
Jack body up one side at a time only so body stays square to chassis.
(remember body needs to go up 4" to get 2" blocks in) The bolts are welded to body, hence the jimnybits kit is so good having the extended nuts.
I am unsure of other kits available, they ebay bodylifts don't generally have these and require the fixed body bolts removing and long bolts right through which is a'lot more work.
No idea with standard bumpers as I've not got original bumpers.
