You should be covered on a green lane by any policy! Its a public road in the eyes of the law.
If they are referring to pay and play i'll be looking at them come renewal.

I wish I was in line for these kind of prices. I've just insured mine through NIG insurance via Adrian Flux:

22 years old
5 years NCB
5000 Miles Limited Mileage
All Mods Declared
£780

My other car which is an insurance group 18 Astra VXR with 257BHP is £650 .

As soon as I mentioned my age and that it has a 3" suspension lift the price shot up.

Cheer up, my old Escort Cosworth used to cost me £2000 a year.
These days, at the ripe old age of 37, my 300bhp TVR only costs me £225 Full Comp, me and the wife to drive

£2000! Ouch... So there are some benefits to old age :P

What TVR you got?

Two cars I would love to own!!! I've wanted an Escort Cossie since I was able to drive, perhaps before as they were launched about the same time. It is my all time favourite car!

As for the TVR - V8 heaven!

But I'm with Premium choice and I'm fully comp whever I am whatever I'm doing, whether it be at an off road site, greenlane or road!

So if I roll it down a large hill on an offroad site, the cage collapses and the car's totalled, they'll pay out!

Not sure what they'd pay out, but that's where the argument always begins!

Can't remember what they charged now but was less than £300.00, I'm 32, all mods declared, they don;t care about NCD, 7k miles limited and lives locked up in my garage!

Just had my quote come through - Ensleigh quoted £660 3rd party F+T   A quick call to Adrian Flux got a fully comp of £475 so i rang back Endsleigh - £402 fully comp, which when paid monthly works out less than what i was paying them for 3rd Party F+T last year :woohoo: How it works - god knows  , but they're the cheapest for me

Have used Endsleigh for all my insurance, and i just ask for the branch manager, tell him im not happy with the quote and then what somebody else has quoted me, and he does me proud. Totally standard, aged 27 with 6 years no claims - it'll do me for another year.
