Well I'm impressed, more than I thought I would be.
Just been out in this 'ere hired Jim, red, soft top with semi slick standard tyres on.
We went for a little trundle around the Akamas and then headed 'off piste' down towards Lara beach.
Not a difficult route normally but the last two days, we've had quite a bit of rain and the tracks had become a gloopy, soggy, boggy load of glue in places.
We dropped down from Iniea towards Lara and were blocked by a rather large mud slide. Someone had made a slight detour round it via a 'grassy' field which also was mud but it had a 45 degree sideways bit that I couldn't get by for fear of rolling the Jim. If I had had my Recips on I might have carried on but I couldn't get the grip.
So I about faced, carefully, and found another track that headed towards Lara but after 30 minutes of slithering about, we ended up in an enclosure for goats.
10 minutes again of slithering about in watered down goat poo we were back on the track and headed back, this time towards and ending up in Drousia.
The 'stuff' we were up to the rims in at times is now all over the Jim, the tyres are a reddy mud colour and the whole thing stinks of goat!!
The amazing thing is the tyres, they are on they're last legs as far as tread is concerned but we never got stuck, apart from the side ways incident. This was a mixture of 4 low and high box as well as just 2x2.
Just goes to show what you can get away with, you don't always need rufty tufty tyres!
And after 2 hours of our little adventure, the missus showed me the pictures we had of our escapade:-
Good Grief!!
