Jimny ECU Temp Sensor Mods, Anyone got one? was created by mskelton747
Hi All, I have come back to Jimny after almost 20 years and being damn sick of Landrover costing a fortune for services and got a new sz4 10 plate two weeks ago. First impressions is that this is far better car than my first ones particularly on the motorway.

I tow a small 4.5M RIB with it and while its fine it could do with tiny bit more bhp when tugging up very steep hills.

So not wanting to mod it too much just yet (warrantys and all) wanted to know if anyone had tried an ECU device like the PowerTech Performance device etc and if its worth the few quid and hour under the hood.

Thanks to all who reply

havnt used one myself but it sounds like one of those 2p resistor jobs that fools the ecu into running the engine as if it was cold, i.e overfeulling / running rich, bit like running it with the choke on
if it is this then i'd avoid
not 100% whether it is this sort of device but certainly sounds like it
just go to google and search for 'resistor mod'
