Tried the velcro, but it was so strong that when I later removed the fibre board the velcro came away from the board!!

I'm going to try super glue on the velcro to see if that will keep it stuck to the fibre board.

What causes it to rust in the first place? A welder tolt me it was because it got wet and then dried out quickly with heat from exhaust Silencer box.

It holds water due to the shape and heat helps the oxidisation ie creates rust. Mines alright tho but think it was undersealed from new
