Hi guys,

Just got a jimny and I'm after some off road bits, can you point me in the right direction? It's got 235/35 tyres and they rub on the bumper slightly, are there any good sites for hd bumpers? Don't think I need a winch one, I've seen the off road armoury one which looks good but are there any similar non winch simple bolt on replacements?

Thanks

Err, Why do you want an HD Bumper if you don't want to put a winch on it. Surely a 2-3" lift would be better to save tyres rubbing.

it's already got a 1.5 inch bits 4 vits lift and it's rubbing, thought it would be cheaper to get a different bumper rather than fitting a proper lift kit like trailmaster for £600 odd

If its rubbing on the inside of the front bumper you can just trim it back, I recently fitted widder tyres and it started to rub on full lock so took bumper off and trimed where it was rubbing.

From the front you can barely see any difference.

Best bit is all it cost was some time!

Yeah that's going to be the easiest option by the looks of it, cheers guys! Is the the bumper just held on with captive screws or do you have to remove headlamps etc?

mine was held on by 3 plastic snaps along the grill and 2 screws under the wheel arches.

But that's because it had a body lift and the standard bottom brackets don't reach (they do now but i had to fab up some brackets)

But it looks like there should also be several fixing under the front edge too if your jimny is standard.

No need to remove headlights. if all the screws and fixings come out easily shouldn't take longer than 5 mins to remove it.

Also mark up what you want to cut from the bumper before removing the bumper it's a lot easier to see what needs doing when its still on the car!
