1956 VW Trailerette restoration was created by ZookFastback
Had a 1956 VW Trailerette sitting in my garage for a few years. It never had lights or anything but the springs and wheel bearings have grease nipples and the frame was in good nick so, starting Thursday, I pulled all the rotten wood off, used what I could as templates and re-built it, finishing on Monday at lunch time.

Next week I will change the axle to match it up with my Jimny and put the same hub pattern and wheels on as the Jimny has. The trailer is so light and I will put my camping gear in it and leave the Jimny empty.

Nice neat job!

Don't forget that when you arrive at camp, you'll have an extra 5 minutes walk to get your camping gear. ;). :)
