How much is a Jimny worth? was created by Bigchridy
Today we got a 54 plate Jimny traded in at work. It has 13000miles on the clock and has a full service history. It's blue and silver and has half leather seats. Had a quick look round it and it has the usual corrosion on the air pipes and brake pipes. A few knocks on the doors where the previous owner has just opened them into other cars.

I was wanting to know what you think its worth. I think my place will send it to block (auction) so I was going to put in an offer and see if I can add to the fleet!:cheer:

If it does go to block I might see if I can have the half leather seats!

Cheers

Chris

That's a lot of miles for a car that is 7 or 8 years old!
I'm sure some one will come along who has done 200k on an 09 plate :D but if you are buying it is a consideration,

£4000-£5000

If it has extras (towbar, mudflaps, gen mats and bits) maybe pushing £5500

Sounds like mine when i had it, slight knocks all over it

Women owners tend not to care in my experience. Bought it from a well to do type couple in Bristol, and it was their 20 something year old daughters... never been in 4wd, a golf ball dent in the door black-rubber scuffing along the drivers side

Within 20mins of getting it back to the midlands the rubber polished off and it was booked in to get the dents out (cost £20!). You'd think people would prepare a car if they were trying to sell it!

Well I just paid £4,800 for an 05 plate in good condition with 47,000 miles on the clock. A touch high compared with the "book" price but the overall condition point to it being a good one.

So at trade it must be £3000 to £3500 as a quick visit from ChipsAway or DentMaster and it would be upwards of £5000 on the forecourt.

Take a look here to see what the high end forecourt price would be and then work back on what the trade margin will be.

Do you know what it traded in at?
