would like one of these any jims with similar ones,great for insurance sake to.could have winch at one end and tow hitch at other front or back.

I bought a winch off ebay (second hand) came on a cradle with a 2inch mount. I got some 2inch inside box section from the local blacksmith (pretty scarce that size without a seam on the inside) and made up a front mount, still to do the back. Great idea, stows in the back, no extra weight on the front all the time, never mounted on the road, keeps the winch like new cos it doesn't get covered in salt spray and stops it getting nicked! I'll post some pics when I get back to work on the 9th.

here are some photos, I tried to get a bracket with the 2inch socket but the one for the defender cost £1000000.00, too much to cut up so went the DIY/Blacksmith route.Johnniehec wrote: Nicho,
