Jamesy,

The bearings come complete with the outer ring so you do not need to buy anything extra.

You really should change both the top and bottom ones at the same time.

If you buy a pair of these then they come complete - CLICK HERE

You will then need an axle oil seal - Click here

You do not need the bearing tool from Bits4Vits for Kingpin bearings, you only need this tool to change the wheel bearing, which is a different bearing.

You will also need some grease to put in the hub.

Hi there,

Do you not need to take the hub apart to remove the kingpin bearings and need to remove the wheel bearing to do this?

I've not taken the hub apart on my Jimny yet but can only imagine it's the same as on the SJ.

No - if you are only doing the Kingpin bearings you do not need to undo the main wheel bearing.

Forgive me if this is a real dumbass question, but those links above are they the exact parts i need?

I just didn't realise the bearings were so cheap and presumably they are better than the suzuki ones from the main stealer?

All help gratefully recieved.

Yes - those are the correct Kingpin bearings. They are not better than the Suzuki ones but they are good quality branded (SKF) items so they are as good as the Suzuki ones. Suzuki tends to use the Koyo brand.

You can get them even cheaper than this if you are prepared to take a risk on unbranded Chinese bearings, but I have heard reports of them not fitting properly or failing quickly. The bearings in the link do fit!
