Opps i broke it again :( was created by Monkey
Hey guys,

I broke the jimny again :(!

I have no reverse....when i try to put it in reserve it will just make a cluck sound until my foot is all the way of clutch then it just goes "bang" and throw's it out of gear. Dose any way know what would of broken in the gearbox for it to be doing that?

All the forward gear's are fine, it's just reverse :(

Cheers,

Andrew

Thats quite a lot of postage to Australia!

I would have a look at the clutch adjustment first before looking at the gearbox, I would suspect it is not engaging.disengaging properly and the lack of syncro on reverse makes this the affected gear? (I assume there is no syncro on reverse??)

Sounds silly, but it's not a transfer case bush/bracket you have broken is it?... and in reverse it's just lifting the box, knocking against the shell and popping it out of gear...

Yep I'd go with you RB (Maybe we're both silly) something physical outside the box is most likely.
