I did look for one in Walmart a few weeks back in florida, plenty of hitch mounted BBQ's.

I once made a cool water heater!

It was a length of brake pipe (about 4mm OD and 2mm bore) and about 50 cm long connected via a 500A contactor so it effectively shorts out the battery through the brake pipe. I had a screen washer pump forcing water through it. By carefully adjusting the length, the water came out at about 95 degrees.

I just had a pipe sticking out of the dash with a button next to it which made boiling water shoot out the pipe. Good for making hot tea in traffic jams and as a useful security device - you won't be going far with a flat battery and 3rd degree burns to your 'bits'! ;)

It made pretty good tea - and was highly dangerous. Doesn't get much better than that! ;)

Si

Attachment autohome-pricelist.pdf not found

These Jimnys are available to hire in SA for £70-80 a day.

The boxes are made by Autohome, and are priced at £1400+ depending on materails and sizes! See Pricelist for details.

I looked at them after being sent a link. Some fully converted Jimny's were being sold for something like 24,000 Aus$

Any one got any ideas regarding an awning for rear with the door opened..
I would like to see a roof tent on a jimny to see what it looks like.

Not mine, saw the car on ebay a few months back and kept the photo for future reference:

it all packs up onto the roof so even if it is wet you dont have to deal with it at the time :)
