Hey All,

Looking at putting in a little lift kit in the Jimny. Question is how much can i raise it without having to install castor correction bushes?

Im only looking at 20-25mm lift at this stage. Has anyone got away with this kind of lift and it still driving nice at motorway speeds?

The general rule of thumb is that castor correction is not needed for lifts up to 2 inches (50mm)

i've drived a long time without castor correction with +3", and no problem. But now with casor correction, driving is more pleasant, the direction is more stable

I have a 1.5" or 38.1mm lift on my jimny with no castor correction bushes and i've had no problems.
2002 JLX Soft Top B)

As Martin says, the rule of thumb is up to 2" does not need castor correction but as Renard38 says, I have had a 3" lift for a while with no real issues!

It may pay to fit the lift kit and see what you think. If you don't like the light steering and it doesn't self centre enough for you, do something about it. If you can live with it, don't!
