This will happen to any rubber bush, Suzuki or Blueprint.

I'm interested in the longevity of poly bushes. They look easier to fit and remove and I have been convinced they flex ok. They are not cheap though.

One thing I do know about Polybushes, they are a much stiffer ride.

With my soft springs I'm not sure anything will be a hard ride! I was gonna change them but I like they're softness off road as it keeps the car level by allowing the flex. I think spring spacers to give back what they have sagged may be the answer.

I have good Blueprint bushes at present and they have given 18 months good service with some hardcore offroading once a month since fitting with no signs of degradation. I have spare arms so wondered about fitting poly bushes to them for when the Blueprint ones do give up the ghost.

I kind of want a report from someone who has run poly bushes long term. They do wear too but are a million times easier to change but it's whether their higher price v longevity is the right ratio.

Blueprint ones are about £13 each so about £160 for the car. A lot cheaper than poly and I have free access to a press and spare arms so I never have to be without the car. Cutting the old ones out I don't enjoy though!

My genuine suzuki ones failed exactly like that: I got a pair of 2nd hand arms when I found out how much each tiny little piece of rubber is and I needed 4.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

i've just fitted 8 front blue print ones as they fit the rear arms and have more rubber in the bush than the rear ones so will see how long they last

I have a mix of Blueprint and genuine Suzuki. All are replacements for the original Suzuki bushes which had tiny splits in after 6 years of off-roading. Current ones have been on approx. 3 years without problems. Mine has spent its life off-roading (its an 03 plate with 23,000 miles on the clock, most of them in the mud)
