B) Hi All, :cheer:
I'm about to bite the bullet and get a new set of tyres for off road use.
(I have 2 sets of wheels)
I've Narrowed it down to Either the Malatesta Kobra Trac (Not Kobra Trac NT or NT1's)
Or the Marix Puma's (Incidentally they are pretty much exactly the same as the Malatesta Kobra NT's).

They both reign in at a nice £245 for 4 inc del.

The Malatesta Kobra Trac NTs are around £300
The Insa Turbo Sahara are also the same as the Marix Puma or Malatesta Kobra Trac NTs are £330

Any thoughts or experiences of either or.
The Malatesta Kobra Trac are rated at 100% off road use, and the Marix Puma's at 80% off 20% on.
But are both road legal.

You can see in the attached pics the similarities of the Malatesta Kobra Trac NT's Marix Pumas and Insa Sahara Turbos.

I like the look of the Malatesta Kobra Trac's and have had experience of similar patters in the past.
I have a set of 31" 10.5" x 15" Malatesta Kaiman's on an SJ I Have but dont want to cut my Arches on my jimny to make them fit.

I'm sure there are few of you Jimny owners have used The Malatesta Kobra Trac's or the Marix Puma -(or equivalent patterns).

ANy suggestions - would be gratefull !!.
Cheers all
B)

I had a set of massive tyres on a Modded SJ, But way to wobbly lol.
they were 37" x 13.5" Mudzillas, The 4 tyres and wheels were over £1000

Good laugh off road, but deadly on the road- i hated driving it on roads.

But it certainly turned heads.

Has anyone used the Tracs, loads of people have used the Puma pattern but need to know both sides.
The Tracs are rated 100% off road, the Pumas 80 - 20

I am with Vitara Mad. Kingpin Amazons, I have 2 sets 1 on my Jimny and 1 on my SJ based Polo. They are great off road and very good on road ( much more stable than some other MTs I have run) and they are lasting very well considering how many road miles they do.

I have a set of Maltesta Kaimans now and I'm quite impressed with them, so the Trac's are liekly to be as good quality and they have a good price tag attached to them!
