CRAZY DEATH WOBBLE was created by Top Rope Terry
To all with death wobbles! I have had an aggressive death wobble that has slowly got worse over a year now and after lots of money parts and blood me and my 2 step fathers finally found the problem. It turns out there was half an inch play on the forward panhard rod bracket holes (all of them) which did not expose its self with out a bit of side to side force, but after changing the bushes buying some new bolts and welding a bit of steel on over the old holes with a new tight fit 12mm hole for the bolts i now can drive it with zero wobble and no worry of soiling my self.
good look to anyone who wants to try this hope it helps.

Well done mate and cheers for sharing your findings!
There are so many things that seem to be able to cause the Wobble of the Death kind it seems that the only way to ensure it does not rear it's ugly head once more is to replace every single component or improve it so as better than new as you have done!

I'm glad you've found the source of yours ... but the DW is different on almost everyone's Jimny.
I've changed King Pins, Bearings, Pan Hard bushes and Rose Joints, Steering Drag Links ... you name it I've done it ... and still i have a 'slight' DW at 38mph ... and then at 65mph.
I'm happy with that ... as before all those changes it was sheer DW Hell.... at 38mph i could barely hold the steering wheel, and speeds over 60mph were just not possible.
I think, the only thing that is causing me grief now are the tyres have become un-balanced - not surprising as they've done 17,000miles, and have various pieces missing off them!!

hi yeah i think a bent panhard would cause you grief wow that sucks and yeah i've found wheel balancing has played a huge factor with my wobble even more so with the bigger tyres.
