Yes thanks guys. I'm anxious to get it underway too. Spoke with Rockwatt over the weekend and he's had a weeks rest last week and been full of flu and in bed this week but said he is going to blitz mine next week.

Ok guys just so we don't get speculation here. On starting the strip down I found that the chassis is not the best base to start so ive sourced a very good chassis and its been blasted ready for surgery. Chassis will be narrowed along its length, only slightly at the front but more at the rear and the body mounts/out riggers will be widened to fit the body mounts. The mid section of the chassis will be bridged and composite fabricated so all stresses from one axle will be passes to the other axle . All suspension mounts will be made from scratch and the geometry is more aimed at stability over flex. Lots of flex is all very impressive but more than is actually needed for function can actually destroy ability. So this truck is aimed purely at funtion and reliable use more than a "ramp queen" so I'm setting everything up for what the vehicle will be used for ! NOT what it will never be used for.
So please no discussions on "you could get more flex if you only" yes you can and ive done a truck that did the magic 90 degrees and it proved pointless so it was restricted for stability.
And please also no discussions on "what it costs" as the money mike has put in hasn't Simply gone I'm my pocket ! As parts alone come to a huge chunk of it ! In fact the opposite could be said that its partly subsidised as I'm hoping to have it at shows as and advertising piece.
I'm not going to put pics up of the strip down and clean up ! Instead I will wait till there is actually something worth putting pics up of .

So stay tuned for updates and please only contribute constructively as the build is planned and most choices have been made so again please no "it would flex better if " comments ! Its not a rockcrawler , its not challenge truck ! It needs to be safe and have fairly good road manners so its built with that in mind.

Go on then, enlighten us, why are you narrowing the chassis? And doesn't that mandate an sva test?

Simply because the chassis is to wide for wheel clearance on articulation especially at the rear, and yes it will require an IVA test due to major chassis modifications.
