How you attaching to the chassis, welding on or some sort of clamp?

not 100% sure yet I think I will weld a box section on and then slightly smaller section to go inside then they can be removed if need be and the main piece can be powder coated with out having to weld it and ruin the finish, will post more pics as I progress

Anyone any ideas of what's best to coat them in, powder coating or just paint them I suppose they need to be repairable for when they get scratched so paid might be a better option ?

I'd go for paint every time on something that will get scraped and scratched. You often see powder coat peeling off in sheets where it has been damaged and rust has got in behind it.

At least you can touch them up a bit easier when they get scuffed upif you use paint :woohoo:
