Oooh! Look what arrived this morning!
First pair of Trail Gear's HD Rear Shafts soon to be available from JimnyBits!
They wanted someone to test them, so I just couldn't refuse! :woohoo:
Fitting them tomorrow! Punch-Hunt on Sunday!

Sweet something else for my list of wants! After I've ordered my side gears and front shafts to go with my new ARB front locker. Hopefully then my rear ARB locker will be happy.

Friday (bit behind on blogging and build threads!) I installed a pair of prototype TrailGear rear HD half shafts, soon to be available from JimnyBits -
Fitted perfectly first time (I like to use a slide hammer to tap them in, gets the blow into the centre of the shaft)
Full blog here - www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/trailgear-prot...nybits/blog_341.html

Sunday... we went to test the new shafts!
Yesterday, my co-driver (read "Winch Bitch"!) Alan and I attended a Punch Hunt down in Hawkstone Park Follies with other members of "Shropshire Lanes" Facebook Group...
Around 20 vehicles, mostly (modded) Land Rovers, a couple of Jeeps and a Samurai...
And... We WON!
Amazed we did as we "only" got 15 out of 20 punches, second place in the modified category went to a Landy father and son team who got 11 punches!, so a resounding win!
Blog here - www.bits4vits.co.uk/store/hawkstone-park...t-2016/blog_342.html
Trophy here -
Only bad bit was snapping the front synthetic rope recovering a stricken Disco', ripped his recovery point off first, and then my rope broke on the next pull, but we tied a knot on what was left to the hook, and tightened it and tested it on a tree / strop and carried on...
A win for Team Jimny! And I'm sure those shafts helped!
MANY THANKS to Russ at JimnyBits for asking me to trial the prototypes! :woohoo:
