Just a standard lift kit, don't you think it might off been the two foot deep pot hole!! Drive one off yours trough a two foot pot hole and see what damage is done

The bumpstop should still take the load before the damper bottoms out. That's its job- to prevent other components getting damaged when everything is fully compressed.

I'm not having a go- I have a 106 which has done the same thing. I hit a big pot hole and the bonnet started rattling loads. Turned out the shock had come through the top mount and was pushing against the underside of the bonnet! But the 106 has been lowered and messed about with so turns out the shocks are the wrong length!

No worries, I didn't mean to sound like that, yeah I do need to get myself some bump stops, the Jim wont do much now till next winter but I will sort some out soon and a new lift kit :-)

Fitted a new gearbox mount and finally fitted my Ora recovery points :-)
