I had a long argument with a "Jimny" owner who had the V8 Jimny that seems to pop up every now and then.
It was a bob-tailed V8 Range Rover. Therefore it had the chassis, running gear, transmission and engine of a V8 Range Rover with a Jimny body stuck on top.
He claimed it was a Jimny, but in my mind it wasn't (and also the UK law which says its the chassis that is the identifier) he swore blind it was a Jimny and even claimed it had been registered as such.
Still that one you have linked to seems to have the body and the chassis so that is the two main criteria.

Daniel, you are a bad man. I don't care if it is or isn't a Jimny legally. It looks like one and i WANT it!

Is it still a Jimny, err no. Its a fine bit of spanner work but it begs the question why. As seen in the video the wheel base is far to short for good handling with that amount of power. Would I have one, no but it sounds great and if that's what you like, go for it.
