OK - that sheds some light :)

In Poland we have a strong competitor for ebay (actually I think ebay in Poland is mainly used for off-shore purchases) and they have their own marketplace for both dealers and private owners dedicated only to cars. (Pretty much like autotrader I guess, but it's definitely more popular here).

I'll look around then... Thanks!

below 1kGBP if it is an M13A cabrio;
below 700GBP if it is an M13A "estate" (I believe that's the word used to described this silly aquarium on the rear of the car :D )
below 500GBP if it is a G13.

I've found a few matches, I've also seen similar cars in Poland (imported from the UK) but then there's the importer's margin and in most cases they really care about the paperwork (a car without a right to register in Poland is ok with me would be considerably cheaper).

I am considering bringing the car by means of towing vehicle (or whatever you call the car that can carry another car).
And unless I really hit the jackpot (i.e. M13A cabrio for 500GBP) I am not in a hurry - probably it will happen next year.

Ok - I have just ask a contact in the car trade to look across the dealer disposal lists. These are where any car trader has taken in a car in part exchange against a new vehicle but does not want to sell on the traded car, just wants to dispose of it to other traders. Jimnys can be cheap when they have been taken in by a dealer who has no interest in selling them on and doesn't know much about them.

If anything comes up I will let you know.

PS. UK owners call them "soft-top" and "hard-top" or "tin-top". Its only Suzuki who tend to call them cabrio or estate.

Join the Jimny buy and sell groups on facebook (there are 2 main ones). It seems a lot of nearly dead Jimny's are advertised there. I put mine on there and sold it in 24hrs. The fees for Autotrader and Ebay put off most people selling cheap cars.

Also, all the cabrio Jimnys had the G13 engine so don't waste your time looking for a M13 engined one!
