Great pictures, Hannah, my wife is following your work on 500px,
and I'll put some up of our new mutt at the weekend
This thread could very rapidly get out of hand....don't you realise what you've started here...

Gus :)

1066Boy - I know what you mean, since being introduced to greenlaning etc most of mine involve a Jimny or Landrover in it somewhere haha!

Grumyoldjoe - yours are fantastic! What camera/lenses do you have?

OllieNZ - you've got some beautiful fish. We used to have a 6' oak tank which was a real eye-catcher. I have a photo of our Blue Dolphin Ciclid somewhere. Unfortunately it had to go to a new home with my Auntie when we moved house recently.

Gus - Is she? Aww thank you! Aww if it gets out of hand that's fine by me!

Grumyoldjoe - oh gosh, you've got quite the kit!
I've got a Nikon D7000, with two lenses at the moment - the Nikon 18-108mm and the Sigma 70-300mm.
I'm on the hunt for a telephoto, wide angle, tripod, bag and filters (I love the whole long exposure thing), but being short of both time and money due to university isn't making it easy haha!

It is an addictive and an expensive hobby.
Better to save and buy decent glass then spend loads on a camera with high megapixels.
Saying that my latest lens is a Tamron 18-270.
Rarely been off the camera since I bought it

Haha it is!
Yeah that's my plan too - I'm perfectly happy with my D7000 - there's no point me getting anything more professional - I wouldn't know what to do with it (I've only just figured out everything mine can do!), so I'd rather get good quality lenses.

Have you had any experience with the Tokina 11-16mm? I've been looking at that or the Nikon 10-24mm.
Others on the wish list are the Nikon 35mm, and the Nikon 200-500mm.
Obviously, I won't be owning any of these for quite a few years haha!

Sorry - showering you with questions now - what tripods do you recommend? I've been looking at Manfrottos. But with the tripod and then the head, it's going to be another couple of hundred, which I'd rather avoid really. All I need is something that will be study, not mind standing in water for a bit (if I did long exposures on beaches etc), and can support a camera and telephoto.
If the 'couple of hundred quid" option is the only way, I guess I'll just have to save for longer ;)
