The whole European Union experiment is in so many ways similar to the Communist experiment of the last century; in principle a sound enough idea but in reality doomed to fail from the very get go. Too many people with too many different vested interests and hidden agendas.

I have only ever known 1 year when we were not in the EU and to be fair whilst as a baby I could not vote I suspect if I could have talked I would have said no to it then. If my parents generation had but known what was to come the last time round we would be in a much stronger global position than we are now. Given what it has now become and even worse what it seems to want to be in the future leaving is the only sensible thing to do.

Hopefully once the dust settles after we leave it won't take us long to make up lost ground. After all history shows us that outside Europe we have at various times run the world and we still have the talent and expertise and so on to do so again.

Remove the shackles of a dysfunctional EU and Britain will be Great once more.

Here is a little extract.
"Financial institutions have to record the name and address of their account holders and, if there is one, the Tax Identification Number allocated by the EU country of residence for tax purposes. They must report the TIN, together with other personal and income details every year to the tax authorities of the country where they are established "

I vote leave. :)
I think if we leave, things will be a little unsettled in general terms but that always happens if you
make a major change to most things. Things will settle down and be better in the long term. :)
Part of the problem with the debate at the moment is all the major players that we see on the television
seam in my opinion to be thinking of the problems that we now face. This is important of course but its
a long term decision. I dont mind a short bit of rough road to gain access to a long smooth one! B)

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Fortunately we did not join the common currency so we are apart to a degree already. Furthermore when I voted about joining the common market we were wanting trade, not political unity.
As I see it the EU shackles us now in most things but for the time tradewise. Monetarily the EU can only get worse. To me the issue is primarily about our sovereignty and self control/self determination.

I suppose we could start making battleships again if we rebuild the shipyards & steelworks (if we are quick Tata won't have knocked them down), we've still got a fair bit of coal, and some iron ore deposits left, we could start mining them agian too. ;)

As what little manufacturing industry we have left is either Foreign owned, located to take advantage of the single market, or part of a supply chain that ends up sold to Europe, I suspect leaving will mean a few more job losses before we can seize the Empire back. :)
