Busy checking out some Green lanes to do and thought some Greenlaners may be interested to see what you can do using an OS Explorer Map and Google Maps,
Yes this is a mild run - and will be of no interest to the muddy boys (and girls)
this is an 18 mile 40 min run at Bardon Mill, Hexham, Northumberland NE47 7HU - anyone interested can download pdf files here A4.pdf or A3.pdf

Not too far from me. Was over Slayley way at the weekend doing a few lanes, then ended up near Stanhope. The last section was extreme but the rest was ok. Think the last bit is called Seeingsike Lane or something.

Im not doing it again, didnt know if we would make it without tipping over. The part we did is a track from seeingsike road, very deep ruts.

Just been up seeingsike lane, changes every time I drive it. Had a BBQ at the bottom next to the water crossing then got stuck on the bit up to the first gate. The mud was about 20" deep so out with the waffle boards and off we go again then nearly tipped it over coming round the bend to the first gate, brown trousers moment. Straight up the rutted track no real issues other than grass banks about 2" from my window. Then got stuck near the top in a mud bath so put my mates ground anchor into the deck and fired up my winch and dragged myself out.
Then we headed to ireshopeburn and left up to coldberry lane?? Or something like that, the highest lane apparently, over the top and down the other side. Then spent 2.5 hours recovering a discovery and a defender from a mud bath we ended up in and it was pitch black. Was great watching the moon rise over the hills though and my mate fall into a muddy hole up to his waist.
And we call this fun
