DO IT!!! Also if you get the boat into Hull you will mostly be using someone else's diesel and they will also do the majority of the driving for you then its just a short hop from Hull to Bradford. You know you want to!
Temeraire (2018 quasar grey automatic)
One of the last 200ish of the gen3s, probably.

Well that's poor. Just looking and there's no direct ferry to Norway from the UK. That's disappointing. It's all just crossings to the Low Countries. I'll have to ask if the boys will get the long boat out of storage and come and pick you up!

I remember Tong. I took my 1994 LWB petrol-engine Ford Maverick there in the mid 1990s with Club Off Road. Does anyone remember Brian Hartley and The Bulldog Challenge?
Well, I had some fun there in the Maverick but it kept losing its low-hanging rear number plate mount. In addition, the clutch-operated cooling fan threw mud into the alternator. I only discovered this when the battery completely drained and the car broke down on my way home to Sunderland.
So, do I subject my 4 year old Jimny JB74 SZ4 to a similar punishment in 2024? It's further to drive now that I live in Weston super Mare.

The ferry from North Shields to Norway was a lovely way to travel. Overnight, in a cabin with lovely buffets to tuck into.
I just read that there are plans to revive the service in 3026. I hope it happens.

Most travelling further will stay overnight Saturday and some even stay on till Monday if they don’t want to drive back straight away. July is usually pretty dry so Tong is mainly gravel around the main tracks. If you look through the previous pictures in the gallery you’ll see plenty of new Jimnys and standard Jimnys.
