Sell your bits!
NOTE: This is for members and their private sales/wants.
There are rules that suppliers have to follow (and many of you do follow the rules). However there have been a number of instances recently where "suppliers" have broken the rules.
Suppliers/Dealers or anyone selling with a commercial view in mind CANNOT post here unless responding to a specific request of a member in a "wanted" post.
Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum
Light pitting on the swivels is not a major issue. You need to strip each side and then clean and wire brush the swivels before using Davids Isopan or similar and then sand back to normal shape. I would then paint (rattle can) to finish them off. I used to wipe the balls clean and spray with a waterproof grease every 6 months but that's been fussy.
Thanks, Citizens Advice passed it on to Trading Standards, they advise I go to small claims court but I'd rather pass it on to someone who can do her up - solicitors said he wouldn't advise court. Fingers crossed a couple of people interested.
First car I owned (a Ford Fiesta in the 1980s) went bad, despite taking all of the right steps, I still bought a bad one. Went to Citizen's Advice, they gave me the phone number of a vehicle inspector, he produced a rather daming report, went back to the garage, got fobbed off (said all the problems were my fault), so I started filing papers for the small claims court.
Garage phoned me and said they would fix it, then as I was taking it in, they said how about we go halves on the repair costs. I jumped back in and told them no, started the engine and told them I would see them in court. They changed their mind and stopped me driving away. To be fair they did repair it and it was okay, but it was a hard struggle and took a few weeks.
